Team Workshops on the Current Debate of Social Robotics
In July & August 2025, EMOROB organised two internal workshops aimed at sharing research progress and promoting interdisciplinary discussion within the team.
On 26th – 28th October 2023 the international conference “COMPUTING THE HUMAN” on topics of social robotics, emotion AI, neurodiversity and subjectivities took place in Brno (Faculty of Social Sciences, MU).
Internationally renowned scholars were invited to open the discussion about social robotics and neurodiversity as well as to establish collaboration and discussion on these topics. The conference held 4 panels with more than 17 presenters, mainly from abroad. A total number of 65 participants attended both on site and online from Europe and overseas.
Keynotes speaker were: Kathleen Richardson (de Montfort University/UK), Sven Nyholm (LMU Munich/Germany), Luisa Damiano (IULM University/Italy), Michael Morrison (University of Oxford/UK), Benjamin Lipp (Technical University of Denmark/Denmark), Tomáš Hříbek (The Karel Čapek Center for Values in Science and Technology), Senta Čermáková (Deloitte) and Miloš Čermák (journalist_specialization on AI technologies).
Head of the Steering and Program committee was Eva Šlesingerová (PI), the principal investigator of the EMOROB project.
